The people who fight civil rights for gays are same type of people who fought civil rights for women and African Americans in previous decades. Our culture continues to evolve and the bigots continue to fight it. Can you imagine somebody standing up today and admitting they fought civil rights for women and blacks?

It`s amazing that these fundy Christians still believe marriage is a Christian thing. /coughs Marriage existed before Christianity was established.

Erm wait, we`re talking about gay marriage here. Oh right, morality on marriage... Mhmmm... Morality in the bible doesn`t change, therefore, it`s not progressive. Therefore, the bible is outdated. So why do Christians still follow it?

Denmark (probably the first), Finland, Sweden, France, Germany and AFAIK the UK offer at least a civil partnership that gives similar rights to homosexuals. However, they`re still not the same as marriage.
Holland and Belgium were among the first who allowed actual, same rights marriage in Europe.
So, let`s put it this way - the world already is adapting. Just the conservatives of the U.S. are a little behind...

It is soooooo retarded to use children to promote anything that requires a solid knowledge base in order to form an opinion on it. A child has no frame of reference to come up with a solid thought on this matter, so who would listen? Oh, right, the same retards who would use them to promote their retarded views.


This is the problem with so called democracy: sheeple are fooled into thinking they should vote on everything and anything, when some things shouldn`t be voted on. Like limiting the rights of a minority because of barbaric myth/belief complexes. It is stupid to ask the masses what they think on this as the bulk of the masses are not informed enough, and are too entrenched in straight up lies to actually form an informed conclusion.

This has nothing to do with the bible, just look at evolution, the only way all of us got here and all the animals got here, was not by gay marriage. Personally I think marriage should be aloud to anyone, but they should not be aloud to adopt kids. That`s wrong, do you really want your kid getting picked on he`s whole life? We need smart people to keep this world going, and not some gay people that spread aids.

2. Kids get bullied for having poor parents, or ugly parents, how far are you willing to go with this? And most kids don`t use their parents as role models, so I don`t see how having Adam and Eve as parents would be the only suitable outcome.
3. Your implication that gays are dumber isn`t exactly supported by your apparent stupidity.

Morality? Consensual sex/relationships between adults have fuck all to do with morality. Unless you are a god fearing moron, but then nobody takes your views seriously anyway.

As for marriage being allowed to gays; I`d say it has to be in a legal context. But if you want to have a religious marriage, then you really need to accept what you get... what`s the point in trying to have say a christian marriage, when the religion explicitly discriminates against you? I suppose it`s good for diluting the influence of religion, by isolating the only people who actually follow the rules...
