I can see both sides of the argument. But this is how police men are trained to take down suspects. The cop may have been told that he had a knife so used force to push him over. I doubt he would have known that his actions would leave him in a coma and you can see that he hits his head on wall. You can`t expect police to deal with violent people one minute and then turn round and prosecute them when something like this happens. Of course, i greatly sympathise with the guy and his family.

If anyone thinks this is alright then they have a twisted view and need to understand that could have been you getting put in a comma. If it was the bad guy there is such thing as due process and that isn`t it.

I am not anti police by no means, i am anti fuck head who might not be best suited for the job to protect and serve the people.

geez what the fuck. that was so overkill. Probable cause a guy points randomly down the alley, and thats probable cause? maybe he had fucking use the bathroom or something. no need at all for that kind of brutality and that is what that is.

It`s such a tricky ballance.

What tips it for me is this logic:

1. When cops shoot at people, they expect them to die. They are trained that guns are primarily for killing, any lesser outcome might be great, but you can`t often count on it, and most times it`s shoot to kill.

2. When cops are trained in physical combat, they are extensively trained in non-injuring methods, because this is ethical. They know that they could also learn lethal and/or seriously injurious techniques, but instead work hard to do no lasting harm.

Now, what the fuck does a 270 lb bulldozer expect when he linedrives a 180 lb guy into a wall? Seriously, that doesn`t match the professional training. It doesn`t take Einstien to predict the outcome there, and I don`t believe it for one second that a professionally trained cop wouldn`t know exactly what happens, from well practiced experience. And IF said 270 lb cop never figured it out, he should go get a job on a construction site lifting buildings, where his unrestrained power will be something to celebrate rather than fear.

Big cop, "yeah yeah I`m goooood at the takedowns hehehe."

These kind of outcomes are not acceptable standard practice, unless the police are supposed to serve, protect, and imperil.

Criminal with malicious intent? Very unlikely.

Unacceptably hazardous? Most certainly.

OK if someone was killed sure i could understand the force put on the kid, but it was a fight.
Not only that but the kid put his hands up, the cop did not need to have the unnecessary force, it`s called words, we learned to use them in kindergarten, apparently that guy didn`t pass. No sympathy for the cop, if a cop starts screaming at me I`d run too, even if I wasn`t involved in a crime, cause most cops are assholes and go out of there way to fuck people up. As much as there supposed to "protect the innocent" more and more I see them fucking people over.

the cop has no argument. so what their saying is its perfectly ok to seriously injure an unarmed, unsuspecting criminal? and the only sad part is they got the wrong guy?

Bullshit. the cop should be charged with this, and at absolute minimum should be fired. but then its the USA, cops can literaly do whatever they want, he`ll probably get promoted!

yet another innocent life ruined so some pin dicked bully can live out his john mclane fantasy!

When the police take down a person and he gets injured everyone cries.

When police taser someone instead of wrestling with them, everyone cries.

Doesnt matter what they do.

Bluelight, the difference is in the details.

When that kind of unnecessary force is used against the innocent it defeats the purpose of "to protect and serve" and they become something to fear rather than embrace or respect.

In fact cops around here let all kinds of bad shit happen and go unpunished, but they`ll sit at a 30mph side road for hours on end to ticket someone for doing 36.
