The problem with most Astrologists is the same as Psychics. They prey on those who will listen to almost anything.

Personally, I am one that understand Astrology, but from a more realistic perspective. The moon affects the tides in the ocean for example. However, so do all the planets in the solar system. For example: Jupiter takes 12 years to orbit the sun. So, every 13 months we pass Jupiter and are pulled closer to it by a few centimeters which is about how much closer we fall towards the sun in that time period.

If Earth were the only object in the solar system other than the sun, then it would have fallen to close to the sun for life to ever exists here. There is no doubt that the planets have an effect on our lives. The way we think and feel is all relative to the planets, however, how most astrologists perceive and explain it, is just not practical, so anyone with any common sense and reason doesn`t believe an astrologist anymore than a psychic. ;)

^ you didn`t explain astrology there but simple physics (gravitational pull).

Astrology is about your character in relation to your time of birth and place of birth and it is also about your destiny.

You don`t have to believe in astrology but if you would let a professional astrologist descripe your character only based on the time of birth (on 1 minute precise) and your place of birth (in coordinates) you will be astonished how good it matches.

agent009 didnt explain astrology and got the physics wrong too. jupiter doesnt move earth at all. all of the planets lined up together wouldnt move earth. the gravitational pull of jupiter isnt that strong.

besides, none of that has anything to do with you at all. get 10 people born on my exact birthday and we would all be different

Nor do the tides have any effect on us humans.

The moon causes the tides on Earth not by directly pulling on the oceans but with the DIFFERENCE in gravitational pull on opposite sides of the Earth.

The Earth is so large that the gravitational pull exerted by the moon is greater on the closer side than on the far side. Your body is not large enough to experience any of this differential effect.

Theoretically it means one in twelve people earth are experiencing the same set of circumstances in life every day for the rest of their lives. There would be no point in making more then one friend under each star sign cause doubling up would just be a boring story told twice.

I wouldn`t pronounce Astrology the holy grail, but you are ranting on Astrology without knowing some simple facts or details about it. Just as stupid as religious people who rant about simple science if you ask me.

well, i was born in philidelphia in a big hospital, get 10 people born around the same time as me and we would be exactly different.

even if there was only 1 person born at the exact same time, we would be different.

an hour difference is going to change the whole thing? being born 20 feet away in a different room is going to change it?

i dont think so. its vague bullshit sold to suckers.

and yes it is like religion in that its bullshit. unlike basic science, astrology is not fact based and is open to interpretation, just like religion.

Why do the positions of the planets and the stars have anything to do with your personal development? That`s just fucking retarded. The only reason that astrology would have any power is that some people buy into it. Rather than causing them to fit the description, people try to fit themselves into the mold of the vague descriptions given. It`s self-fulfilling.
