I`ve had 3 scotch tonight, thus I am thankful they conveniently placed the names of the hosts beneath when Matt (had to rewind the vid for that one) claimed he`d rather worship the ideals of Don than of the god of the bible.

Probably THE BEST video clip of The Atheist Experience, thoroughly explained so the dumbest person could understand.
What more explanation could you need????

Wow, how can I even take this seriously. The host comes off as such a condescending tool.

The question the host asked... "If someone doesn`t accept J.C., they will go to Hell. Do you think I deserve to go to Hell?", why is he so concerned with the Christian`s opinion on this? It`s an obviously loaded question and when he didn`t get the answer he was looking for... *GG*.

He started from basicly nothing and worked his way to a point of the caller going yes we are both good people. Then he started to show why he is an atheist. He called in saying how god has different morals than humans. He then destroyed how his reasoning on that and worked with him to help him understand.

If such problems exist in the logic more questions need to be asked. If you constantly come to loaded questions about religion you have to ask yourself about it. Problem is the church puts these anti-thinking policies in the crap they spew so if someone is faced with having to actually think they can say its god`s will, or some other such dribble.

There are many aspects to any religion. There is the dogmatic, litteral interpretation of religious scriptures, which many times is harmfull if taken to extremes. Then there is the spiritual side of religion which is not tied down to dogma or any written word, basically come down to, love & peace.

What I would say to an atheist is..
Try and "Originate" - 1 Grain of Sand out of absolutely nothing. I`ll give you 1/2 an hour.

- no sane person would spend more than 10 seconds. So How can you deny there is not an origniator.. the ONLY TRUE Creator - this Atheist is arrogant.

There is NO Diety worthy of Worship EXCEPT GOD

Jesus was a Prophet, Just Like Moses and Muhammad Peace be upon ALL Of them an Muhammad is the final Messenger.

If you truely want guidence then ASK GOD Alone to guide you to the straight path.

Don is very articulate and does a great job displaying the average believer`s inability to truly question his/her own beliefs. Not that they`re dumb people, but there is a religious "gag" reflex that stops them from going down that path.

I`m an apostate of Christianity myself, and can attest to the difficulty of truly questioning the beliefs that have been washed into your brain since childhood.

mindmineral to that silly comment I would say how does that lead to the Christian God exactly? There are literally thousands of religions out there claiming that it was THEIR god/gods who created the universe and that all the other religions are wrong, why do you dismiss theirs and not your own?

`If you truely want guidence then ASK GOD Alone to guide you to the straight path.` This is another silly one, throughout history thousands of people have claimed to speak with and be visited by their individual gods. What would you say to the Roman soldiers who claimed to see Mars the god of war fight beside them and give them encouragement during battle? I assume you would think they are deluded, so why is it that people from other religions speaking to their gods is deluded but the ones speaking to the Christian god are seeing sense? Was it your god all along pretending to be the other gods for poops and giggles?

As to athiests being arogant once again I have to disagree. You seem to be confused about athiesm, athiests DO NOT claim to know exactly how the earth came to be, that is what the religious people claim, we do not claim to know all the answers, it is the arrogant religious who do.

Oh and one more thing, who made god?

@mindmoral

Your first mistake is assuming that an atheist has to prove the origin of existence. The burden of proof is not on them but on the person making the extraordinary claim. Claims without evidence can be dismissed without evidence. You claim that a magical sky daddy must have created us out of mud (Quran) or dust (depending on which of the contradicting creation stories in Genesis you accept) and they just tell you that you`re wrong because you cannot prove it. Whether they come across arrogant or not is irrelevant, you`re still wrong until you can prove otherwise. The more you insist your claim is true because your fictional holy book says so or because you "have faith", the less credible your claim becomes and the more crazy you appear.

Your second mistake is assuming that most atheists believe that something came from nothing. The claim that "something came from nothing" is a religious one of origin. I.E Your magical sky daddy created everything but needed nothing to create him. Just POOF! Magical sky daddy from nothing! All you do with this sad argument is leave the question of, "What created your god?" I know!! He has always been there! He came from nothing!

As far as how the origins of the cosmos came to be? We don`t know yet. But that doesn`t mean we won`t ever know. Neither does it mean that just because we don`t know now that Zeus, Krishna, Yahweh, Apollo, Herby the Leprechaun, or Joe Pesci put everything in place. Although, my bets are on Joe Pesci. However, even if we never know, you would still have to prove your claim.

We now know how humans came into existence. This, like the origin of the cosmos, was a question that humans thought would plague them forever. Often, humans would make up the answers for means of comfort and control. However, science prevailed with real answers based upon evidence and not superstition. Considering the track record of scientific discoveries, the answer to the origin of the cosmos will be unveiled through the always aspiring scientific method and solidified through evidence by the same means in the future, though probably not in our lifetime.

Your third mistake is one made from a poor education and indoctrination. Moses almost certainly did not exist and is deemed by historical scholars to be a myth. There`s also no contemporary evidence to support the existence of Jesus either. Sorry. Muhammad`s existence, however, is documented by contemporary middle eastern non Muslim tribes outside of the Quran. Yet, none of it supports the extraordinary claims made in the Quran but merely acknowledge that a spiritual leader from Mecca existed.

It`s pretty ironic how much faith you have in science to answer all of the universe`s biggest unknowns `eventually` yet you bash someone for having faith in the Bible (which in itself is a piece of historical evidence) for believing it is God`s word. =/

How does believing that science will probably uncover many of the mysteries of the universe in any way compare to believing that an invisible omnipotent benevolent perfect man in the sky decided to make the universe on a whim?

Look at how much science has uncovered in just the past century, it is staggering, who knows what it may have uncovered 500 years from now? By contrast the bible looks more and more silly as time goes by.

Exactly Chrissy,
It`s not "faith" when its based on evidence and reason.
It`s reasonable to believe science will continue uncovering mysteries as it has been for centuries (evidence).

Faith doesn`t enter into it.
