That IS crossing the line, both in moral and military sense. I don`t think there`s any debate about the ethic controversy, but as this shows, it`s clear insubordination, a definite refusal to obey an order.

It`s pure madness that even though this ran on Al-Jazeera, probably THE major news channel linking the middle east to the west, they didn`t get a response...
Whatever happened to freedom of religion. I thought the forces were bound to the constitution?
Hell, the reporter even mentions the violation of it.
