Swine Flu now In Phase 5

The swine influenza is now in phase 5. That mean the virus has spread to multiple countries and is beyond the possibility of containment. It is known the virus is contagious. It is know that mankind has not been exposed to this virus before: we have no natural immunity. It is known that the virus can be fatal in young people.

Yeah this swine flu has been around before, but its all just scare tactics.... Yes people may die from the swine flu but with the normal flu virus people can die also, mainly with people with health problems....

Also there has been some interest recently into "the black death" and how it was far too virulent and lethal to have been the bubonic plague as thought, and how it may have been "some kind of flu".

surely by killing off all the infected animals you`re actually preventing a natural antibody from developing, like the whole cowpox/smallpox thing?

Mankind has seen swine flu before, in 1976, it came and went. It will do so this time around also. If people would just have the common courtesy to stay home when they are sick, the flu of any stain,would not be as widespread as it can be during any flu season.

Dude, the swine flue killed only a dozen people, the death rate is like what 2%? Why is everyone freaked out about a little cold...I do feel sorry for people in third world countries where they cant get medical aid.

common flu kills around 9,000 people per year in the Uk alone, ... fucking media making it sound as though the end of the world is comming,

Swine flu caused the Cornelius and Deerhoof concert I bought tickets for to be cancelled. Sigh. Been waiting for Cornelius to come back to the states for a couple years. Damn swine flu to hell.

Level 5 doesn`t actually change anything. It was already obvious that is was spreadable between Humans and had jumped borders, level 5 is just the WHO confirming that in the lab.

Still no new deaths, just more confirmed bodies in Mexico.
Don`t panic, but do wash your hands more often and keep your fingers out of your mouth nose and eyes.
