Flag Guy Faints Right Before March

Needless to say, the rest of the ceremony was considered a pretty big flop.

Locking your knees while standing for a long period of time causes poor blood circulation which will result in what we saw.

It depends on factors your physical condition, ambient temperature, tight clothing and especially if/what you ate lately.

Apparently, if all you had time to eat in the morning of that day is a dairy product and you haven`t eaten anything since then, you will fall much more easily. (Personal experience there)

I was standing still for at least an hour. Then I started feeling like crap for a good 15 minutes before it happened. I felt like suffocating and weak, my legs were killing me and all I wanted to do is have a seat so I could rest. My body urged my to panic but I stayed there standing still. And then it happened quickly. I felt all cold, I felt like there was cold liquid pouring out of my ears, I felt pins and needles all over my face and it crept down to my whole body. Then the pins and needles were replaced by numbness. Then my vision started fading to black and my hearing faded out. Then I lost consciousness. It felt like a relief. Like I could finally have a rest. Then I woke up on the floor and began to find out how badly I injured myself by falling almost head first onto a concrete floor.

I`ve been lucky and only broke my glasses, had a laceration on the side of the head and a gigantic headache for the rest of the day.

But I strongly recommend you do NOT attempt to do this for fun. First, you will spend at least 15 minutes of torture before it actually happens and secondly, you will lose consciousness before you fall (which is the reason why you fall) and that means you have absolutely no way to control how or where you will fall. I`ve seen a guy breaking is lower jaw on the concrete by falling like that and the sound it made wasn`t pretty.

I go to a senior military college and when we have parades we always hear a few thunks because people faint. Usually due to dehydration and locking out your knees as Intel says

heh had 2 different people pass out for a minutes silence on an anzac day parade at my school. everyone sitting cross legged for an hour and then suddenly standing. Was quite amusing, only because no one was hurt during their falls.

During the ANZAC parade, there are usually 4-5 cadets that pass out towards the end, not really sure why.

I know most of them don`t take too much fluids before hand since the dont get restroom breaks but the weather is generally good at that time of the year and they dont wear heavy clothing. only thing I can think of is the stiff way they stand

This is the first time he held the flag, he was nervous, usually he plays the rusty trombone.
