Christian Coalition Director: Torture OK

Former Christian coalition director argues for torture Ralph Reed, the former director of the Christian Coalition, told Foxs Sean Hannity that he supports the torture interrogation techniques used on terrorism detainees. Hannity says it's okay because they're not American citizens. Shameful.

I hope Sean Hannity is caught in a house fire wearing some material that takes him 8 hours to die.

Hannity is a tool, agreed.

But after watching the entire video, I can`t help but side with two male guests.

If torturing a few violent ragheads has the potential to save thousands of innocent American lives, then I`m all for it.

They were psycho religious extremists who want us all dead BEFORE we started `torturing` them.

If Doc Brown showed up in the DeLorean and told you that going back to 2001 and waterboarding a few MEMBERS OF A GLOBAL TERRORIST ORGANIZATION would have a 1% chance of preventing 9/11, you wouldn`t do it?

Hey, thedude9009, what if they aren`t? That`s the fucking point, that you can`t know they know this information before you start. And even the information you get doesn`t have to be true because people who are tortured and crack will tell you what ever you want.

What if Doc came back to tell you that because we allowed it, the world lost its freedom when the people of the most powerful nation in the world allowed the government to dismantle the only control on the military industrial complex.

Not too mention the fact that the very act of waring on so called terrorists is a sure way of making sure you have people to fight. Terrorism is an act of violence against a perceived oppressor. If the accused oppressor then reacts with violence it creates a situation in which more people in the area of war will become sympathetic to the "terrorists" and foster further aggression.

When word gets back to the home land/base of what is being done to their people by the perceived aggressor will also foster further aggression.

Plus, it`s all a rouse to give the US an excuse to go waring. It`s fucking Risk and player 4 is on the rampage. They got that bloody bonus for territories, plus they deny the bonus to those players around them and now they`re turning in that set. Face it, we`re hooped.

:D

you may want to also consider the fact that Khalid Sheikh Mohammed who masterminded the september 11 attacks was waterboarded 183 times in a month (that`s almost 6 times per day).

if he had such vital information and these techniques were as effective as some have speculated then why the need for multiple times?

And if you were waterboarded 3 times before lunch wouldn`t you be tellng them anything just to have it stop?

you would think that 183 attacks would have been averted if that were the case.

She never stated what she would use in place of water boarding. She even said that sleep deprivation would qualify as torture. Makes me question who she`s trying to protect: innocents or terrorists?

^ who do `we` become if we torture the evil-doer`s? - isn`t the lesser of two evil still evil?.

do the means really justify the ends?, which makes me wonder just how christian these christians are really?.

sleep deprevation is torture especially when combined with other stresses, and i think you`d be alittle on-edge if you were waterboarded 183 times.

^ You`re also not giving any alternatives on how to interrogate people who have pertinent information and refuse to talk. So you`ve ruled out water boarding and sleep deprivation. I`m hesitant to call what America does as torture because I try to keep this in a historical context. I look at what the took place at Nazi concentration camps, gulags, and Japanese death camps and I classify that as torture. What America does is no where near that.

Meanwhile, you`re concerned about making sure people like Khalid Sheikh Mohammed aren`t "stressed." Nice to know you`re heart`s in the right place. Way to put innocent people first.

Alternative = DON`T TORTURE (just cause you can doesn`t mean you should).

that was genocide in Nazi Germany - NOT TORTURE!.

Japanese Death Camps - (since it has death in the title i don`t think retriving information was their main focus here).

^ Oh, and an Allied commission convicted General Homma of war crimes and He was executed on April 3, 1946.

how to we uphold our principles, ideals and moral standards by breaking them only to stoop to their level, playing by their rules of which there are none.

bring them to trial, convict them for life & do it legally and by the international standard don`t torture people bottom line.
