Police have released a graphic X-ray of at least 30 nails piercing a Sydney man's skull in an effort to find his killers.
NSW homicide detectives are hunting the killers, whose body was found in marshland in Sydney's south last year.
Police said an industrial nail gun was used to kill the man.
"Post mortem examination results revealed he was shot repeatedly to the head with a high-powered nail gun," Detective Inspector Mark Newham said in a statement.
"Similar types of nail guns can fire nails up to 85mm long."
