yeah the CGI debate kinda won me in the alien series, it has its uses but for stuff like this, its so much creepier non CGI

The special edition DVD reveals alot about how tough it was to make this film. When that guy gets his arms chomped off, they actually hired a guy with 2 amputated forearms and put a mask on him to make the scene as real as possible.

The scary part is how organic those monsters are. CGI somehow still lacks that bio organic feeling somewhat but CGI is also catching up in the living tissue department, namely Benjamin Button.
