I`m not a metalica fan much either, but for some reason I felt giggly when watching it with that music. Must be too much sugar today.

The winner was King Cobra, the boring little wedge.

If I ever had to design a robot for a competition like that, I`d make it so it has 2 arms on one side that can grab the other robot. Then there would be a pneumatic piston in between the two arms that would violently and repeatedly ram into the other robot, destroying it in the process.

I`d name it "The Rapist".

Oh and I would make it so it smokes a cigarette after destroying the other robot like this.

There used to be a whole show on TV on the Australian Combat Robot Championships in the mid 90`s (think it was channel 9). I used to love that show. Some of the robot designs were amazing. Didn`t know the championship is still going.
