I worry where our world is headed. People need to get over themselves and wake the f*** up. All of these "what would you do" videos are inspiring me and more and more to throw on a costume and going out and doing something about it myself.

What a nice homeless lady.

On a completely unrelated topic, they should try that same experiment in a frat house.

I live near New york City, and I always see homeless guys sleeping on the streets. It is prob not shocking for these ppl to see them like that on the floor. They get offered shelter, food a nice bed, all free, but they rather be drinking on the streets and asking for money. They choose to stay that way, we all have fucking problems too you know...

I agree lyme, especially with the homeless guy holding the beer can...but someone falling out right in front of you and just keep going....that`s inexcusable.

Please vote me down after reading my comment... :(

This is my confession:

Last summer I was in Busan, Korea, visiting relatives... I was in the subway, going to chill with some of my older Korean friends.. I don`t know if you know this about Korean subways.. there are a lot of homeless/poor people panhandling for money, sometimes selling weird products, sometimes blatantly asking for money, sometimes with little notes explaining how they`re poor and they need money..

Well sometimes I give money you know? But most of the time I think they`re just faking it, so I don`t.. Well there was this crippled guy, all dirty and stuff in the subway. And then as he was asking for money, passing around his notes, he collapsed on the floor, not unconscious, but in disorientation.. No one helped him, they ignored him... AND I DID TOO :( FML

I feel so fucking bad now... I didn`t want to get involved `cause he was dirty and homeless, but that doesn`t make me a better person than he is.. There was a guy who asked him if he was okay, but he had to get off cause he arrived at his stop.. And then nobody helped him.. :(

FUCK, i swear I`ll help people from now on... :(

vote me down, i`m an inconsiderate bitch and i deserve it :(

Wow, just today I saw a guy falling over in the subway. He kept picking himself up and then collapse with wobbly legs. I didn`t help him though, cause I assumed he was just drunk. Everyone else was reluctant to help also. I stepped over him as I exited the subway as he laid there using his bag like a pillow.

The thing is, I see countless number of crazies on the subway. I had bad experiences when I was younger trying to help random people, so I can somewhat relate to the people who just walk past. Who knows what happened to the guy...:[

i dont think you guys are understanding how fucked up we all are, i`d do the same if its a down town street, why should i waste my time on him? what your all forgetting is that some of you no matter how hard you try to cheat your self now by thinking your wouldn`t, would just walk by the guy, along with my, hand in hand, to the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. and a mcdonalds burger and some french fries, and a milk shake. MMMMMMMMM milkshakes.

Here`s my scenario:

One time I saw a homeless woman passed out next to a 7-eleven. She managed to get up on her own, but she still looked so feeble. I offered her a $5 and suggested she get something to eat, and she pushed my hand away. So she blew it for any other homeless person I pass that actually would appreciate my help!!

This all varies a lot on the situation, but if I saw a guy with a beer can in his hand, I would not stop either and wouldn`t feel at all bad about it. Any other situation and I would stop or at least call the police.

What disappointed me the most was all the people who ignored the lady w/the cane asking them to call 911. How f`ing hard is it to call 911 for someone. But I guess if you get panhandled multiple times a day, you start ignoring what everyone says even if it`s asking for help.

Sorry.... I ain`t drinking the cool-aid on this one.

Hear me out THEN vote me down.

This world is full of scammers, thugs etc...
The compulsion to "Help" somebody is subject to and contingent on an almost endless number of sensory cues, some of which are so subtle they are not understood.

When the little voice say`s "don`t get involved", it is not always known why or where it is coming from.
To judge somebody for not helping somebody who is faking being in distress, implies that only gullible people are good.

Personally, I have both gotten involved in situations as well as having avoided some. Why I do and/or don`t is sometimes based on more of an instinct than sound reasoning.

In any event, it is inherently flawed to say "this person is bad because they didn`t fall for my fake-assed person in need performance." Perhaps they are simply not stupid enough to fall for your bad acting or they are reacting to that “something is not quite as it seems here” instinct..
