Imagine walking down a busy street and suddenly hearing a cry coming from a parked car. When you look closer, you spot a baby in the backseat and notice that all the windows are closed. It`s a hot summer day and the parents are nowhere to be found.

No one opened the door to the car. That baby would have been cooking the whole time that those people were arguing, waiting on the cops. In fact, its possible that the arguing could have killed a baby because it kept the mom from getting in the car.

Have any of you done any acts of heroism these videos are experimenting? The only things that come to mind right away for me are things that involve harm to my family, myself, and close friends. Other than that, I tend to mind my business and act when I can tell someone needs help.

When I was 16, I was at a hotel swimming pool and noticed a woman starting to drown. She was silent but I could tell she was in trouble. I was a good swimmer but I was also kid in a foreign country...and I`d never been confronted by an immediate need to act.

I hesitated.

Not five seconds later a man noticed her and yelled, "She`s drowing!!" A half-dozen strong men immediately dove into the pool and saved her...shaken, but not requiring resusitation.

I felt like a heel, but everything was okay.

I`m actually liking that ABC is doing this show. Yeah, it works to make money and ratings and all that jazz, but it`s also forcing people to confront serious situations, and their own moral code.
The title is perfect. "What would you do?"

The people watching the show get to tell themselves how great they`d be in such a situation(whether or not that`s actually true) and/or learn something. The people that actually take part in the experiment, and fail, are forced to reevaluate their actions, and do the correct choice next time. Meanwhile, the people that actually did the right thing, get a nice pat on the back on national television.

It`s a lot better than most of the depressing news reports you see.

is it just me or do all these people seem like they are afraid of the consequences of doing what they know they should do. like the first thing that pops into their minds is to open the door or break the window but they are afraid of being heros. all these tests take are some genitals?

i would of opened the door took the baby found out it was fake then thrown the motherfucker down the street and waited for that douche bag to come out and greet me lolol

This should be filmed in a foreign country somewhere in Asia, you would instantly see the reactions will NOT be close to the reactions you would see in the U.S.

They`d have smashed the car windows.. etc, like instantly, depending on the people and what country.

This show is biased to just a broad group of people located in one country, the experiment should be taken with other country`s.

Just cause most of the U.S wouldn`t do shit all, doesn`t mean other country`s wouldn`t as well, this is not just the U.S, I`m talking about about the whole western society.

But yes, don`t get me wrong there are some people who do care as shown in this show. I`m just saying, more people from country`s in Asia would`ve done a lot more because they do care.

Bottom Line:

Most people from western society don`t give a fuck.

When i say western society i refer to all kinds of races in a society filled with a great amount of people that seriously just don`t care about anyone else but themselves.

Fang711 did you listen at all ? the police are in on the experiment and don`t respond.

I know I would do something if it was me. Hell in Ontario you can`t even smoke in the car with a child under the age of 12 and I have called police about parents with there kids in the back seat with no seat belts on.
