Both Pilots, believed to be dead, are likely to be living on a tropical island with Tupac, Elvis and Hitler.

Translation from JAL pilot: "Either strong gust caused plane to impact runway or over-correction from the pilot, or both of the above combined caused accident." (too early to judge IMO)

This accident is similar to that of 1999`s MD-11 China air crash, where pilots exceeded crosswind specifications for the aircraft.

good translation but he was introduced as a crash expert, not a jal pilot. also cross winds weren`t mentioned, just high winds, and both pilot doa at hospital.

The so called `crash expert` was careful to say that the pilots may have overcompensated for the wind shear. He is very likely in the pocket of the Narita airport authority. Wind shears are difficult to detect but modern ground based doppler radars are pretty effective at identifying them.
