In Russia they beat up the immigrants that are taking their jobs. But in United States `Land of the Free` aka `Home of the immigrants` unless you are Native American that is, I don`t understand everyones prejudice. The USA has done the same thing with the Irish and Jewish. Next was the blacks. Then came the Chinese. So I suppose just give it time and let the Mexican-Americans upgrade just like the other races did. That would be the fair thing to do....

I dont have anything against mexicans, but the reporter acting like illegal immigration is completely alright kinda irks me. I mean, shit, go down to mexico as an illegal immagrant and see how far you get. But I guess the world just runs off double standards...

Although, I do admit, that test you need to take to become a legal immagrant is a bit rediculous, I doubt many americans can pass it. The whole situation is just so screwed up...

I was glad to see them end on a human note, showing the real emotional impact of the sometimes excessively bad treatment these people get.

As for the whole immigration issue, I think it`s important to recognise that the USA has always quite enjoyed having a very poor neighbour right next door. Cheap labour, lax regulations, easily bought govt. for any ambitious needs, and a place to vacation like kings. It`s been like a slave camp for us in many ways.

It makes me think that from a humanitarian viewpoint, we should have been trying much harder to raise those people up with us, as our dear and valued neighbours for the past many decades. We cannot be proud of the never ending poverty, violence, and exploitation we mostly just watch so idly.

It is sad, but almost appropriate that the situation has become so messy that it`s spilling over badly back into the land of the free. It pays beter to love thy neighbour. We are all in this together for the long haul.

@kokujin - Agreed, that test is pretty rediculous. and if your an american in mexico, you stand a very good chance of getting arrested for just being an american, or shot by a mexican, but of course, lots of legal citizens in the US get shot by illegals everyday. if you dont believe me, facts state that in oklahoma, between 2004 to 2007, illegal aliens were responsible for murdering a few thousand US citizens. i have no probelm with mexicans, i have mexican friends and they`ll even agree with me, its the illegals that are the problem. its the illegals that are the cause of most racism towards mexicans.

Woah Sesshomaru, sounds like you been stuck on the tube watching lots of FOX news lately. For your information, go visit Mexico and see if you get shot or arrested just by being white.

See this is the big issue here. Mexicans have been demonized some much by the media, that any mistake or violent behavior by an immigrant is immediately attached to the nationality regardless. We are all humans and make mistakes, we are violent people, etc. We might have different characteristics, but we can`t attest behavior per the nationality, that`s just fucking ridiculous.

I went to 7-11 a couple months back, the cashier was having trouble letting a couple mexican people know that the ATM wasn`t working. I tried to explain as well, they understood, they said "Thank you" many times. How awesome is it to accept gratitude after you help someone, and how shitty does it feel when you don`t? We are not fellow americans, fellow russians, or fellow mexicans, we`re fucking fellow humans.

Racism, discrimination, all that shit has to stop. A joke here and there I don`t find it negative, it`s just closure that we accept each other with our different nationalities, but shit like this video? It`s so disgusting. How did we get this far?

I don`t understand why people get so pissed off about illegal immigrants. Do you really think these people are stealing your jobs and money? When was the last time you sat outside a Home Depot waiting for work or tried to get a job picking fruit but a Mexican took it? They take the shitty jobs you don`t want to do so you can enjoy your high standard of living. Illegal immigrants are holding this broken fucked up economy together. It`s modern day slavery.

I think it just threatens people`s ability to be lazy as fuck and never learn any skills, because now there`s competition that is more than happy and willing to take the job that the fat lazy American doesn`t want to do. You can only ride off Daddy`s success for so long before the rest of the world passes you by, and that time has come and gone. The last resort people have is racism and hate, but it`s an old tactic and doesn`t work anymore.
