A museum in the US is digitising a treasure trove of medical photos from an Army archive and posting them online for all the world to see.
The National Museum of Health and Medicine in Washington DC has posted over 800 images on Flickr.
The often confronting images stretch from the US Civil War to the Vietnam War.
