Did anyone see Cramer on the Daily Show. It was so awkward. In reacting to some obligatory daily show banter targeting cnbc, Cramer has COMPLETELY pwned himself.

Stewart runs a comedy show, why does Cramer even care? The whole point of the COMEDY show is to poke fun at mistakes when hindsight is 20/20. I`d almost go one step further and say that CNN is doing their damndest to find/make news. Neither one of those guys really seems like they give a shit about what the other is doing and likely they understand its just show business.

Cramer seems to be intelligent when it comes to stocks but not public marketing; he went on to Stewart`s show to basically get reamed and he got nothing out of it besides maybe a small but temporary boost in ratings. He looks like the Monopoly Millionaire scowling down on the people below him as Stewart ripped him to shreds in an obviously edited segment that made Cramer looks like a deer caught in the headlights.

I`m surprised the network allowed him to go on the Daily Show.

^ it`s called "being caught with your pants down". They knew they fucked up before Stewart(or his writers) even thought of the "rant". The simple fact that they were completely right about Cramer completely failing at his "predictions" gives Stewart(and anyone else for that matter) the right to bash them as far as they want.

I`m a brit (yeah jokes now plz) and have not heard of cramer, but, he sounds like a horse racing tipster to me. I never bet on someone`s word, and that sort of following someone`s advice on tv is just that, a bet.
As to Jon Stewart going after him and the wall street mob (I use that word in the worst sense) I am completely happy SOMEONE is laying into em, cause the governments of the world aint!
We`re all trillions of dollars into debt thanx to these people and the only ones in court are the ones who ran scams..
If you ask me, the people who were using predatory lending to create toxic assets should be in the dock too, instead they get bonuses, yeah, great way to punish em (sarcasm included at no charge to you!)

^ he`s been on Conan a few times that i`ve seen and he`s an absolute nut bag. But in all fairness he did have a sense of humor while being interviewed back then, of course that was before the severity of the economic situation that is currently present had kicked in.

Cramer says it`s not fair to only pick on the times that he`s wrong. But even a monkey can loosely predict stock trends and be right about half the time.

So here’s a notion which might be a few billion dollars / euros / yen... too late but might bear considering.

What if, instead of providing direct “stimulus” for the financial and heavy industries, the west used the “bail-out” money to bankroll a huge project, like building a permanent lunar station, and all the development and related infrastructures? Would this be a better way to get things rolling while retaining some long-term benefit to the public, both in the process and outcome?

This is an economic question, not one about the feasibility of a lunar base, in particular. It just seems that if dedicating billions to wars and mismanaged banks can stimulate the economy, a similar dedication to a more specific project could do the same. The ancient Egyptians periodically made huge piles of stones in the desert to keep their economy on an even keel. Could something like that work for us?
