Well, I know I`m going to get voted down, but I`ll say it anyway.

Did you ever do bad on an exam and thought life was over and the next day you woke up with renewed vigour to just go on? Thats hope. Hope that you will be able to confront your fears, and somehow prove yourself YOU CAN DO IT.

Now, imagine a place, whatever it may look like, where you wake up after the exam, and that hope is nowhere to be seen. Days go by, and still no hope. People around you have no hope. And deep down inside your soul, you know, that this will go on forever. Just... "foreverness" of no hope. You won`t be able to do it. Thats hell.

During our lives, God isn`t asking you to pass that exam, all he is asking is for you to know hope, see it, use it, learn to follow it, keeping it close to you, but sharing it, ...never letting go of it, yet letting others grab onto it. And thats what religion is, the means of never letting go of hope, and love, and making it a main participant in our lives, to finally reach a place so filled with hope, that finally we can let go, and let our souls rest for eternity, without fear of getting lost...
