I am a criminal, with 2 convictions, one is pot posession for traficing.

I have an 18 year serious professional carreer, non drug/crime related.

I am a very integrous person.

I am a fanatical atheist and rabbid critic of religion and its BS morals.

And lastly, I`m a comin` for ya, Jesus Freak. Better grab your gun, cause I`m gonna burn your house down, and suicide is kinder than immolation.

Back to reality, your insistence on the idea that religion = morals is both factually disproven, and insulting to a lot of us good folks who don`t need your "good book" to do the right thing. IE, the point of this vid.

I really am left scratching my head over you alifeva1. Some of your points are really admirable, but then you go spouting off in odd directions, like insulting the sexuality of people you don`t know, or their integrity, etc.. Sometimes it doesn`t seem like a very productive way to spread the love my friend. Perhaps even counterproductive to what me might suppose the aims of a good Christian ought to be.

I`m not trying to put you down, but I would be asking myself some serious questions about now if I were you.

^ Alifeva1, if you are, as you claim to be, studying sociology, you of all people should understand that your stance makes little sense. Morals and values are culturally defined and yet every post-industrial society and virtually all others have outlawed killing, have a firm definition of family, etc. Yet not all of these countries and cultures embrace religion.

I can only assume that you are a Christian, but regardless of what you religion you`re affiliated with, you no doubt regard your religion as superior to all others. You claim that religion instills integrity and that you think integrity outweighs knowledge. What seems like a person with integrity to you is likely diometrically opposed to the viewpoint of someone belonging to another religion.

This is why religions are so prolific throughout the world: it`s the easy way to decide how to live, without putting any effort in to obtain any higher knowledge.

As a side note, I think it`s a little pretentious of you to think that all of us simple minded little non-believing athiest Spikedhumorists would even want to copy any of your revolutionarily ground breaking sociological research.

the guy is right on, morals have been around much longer than the current religions.
on the same topic, i`ve observed a lot recently that actually there don`t seem to be many christians in the world at all... there`s a lot of people that say they`re christian, but their actions are not christian at all. for example criminals, thou shalt not steal, kill etc, therefore if ur in jail or even have been, then are you not by definition non-christian? i`ve even heard of gay christian groups, which is even more of a non sequitur, like saying ur a yankees fan but u prefer ur redsox cap. if ur gay, ur not a christian.
am i right? yes or no, include reasons!

EDIT: oh, and the notion of us all being created in the image of god is an insult to me since it actually associates me to you. I dont want to be a douche, but i think most of the people on this site thinks that way.

One last note: since we were created from his own image... does he imply that he is a genocidal, sadistic maniac, like some people are? I mean, religious people do tend to interpret the bible in such a way that they can commit any crime and still feel they did a `good` thing.
