Jumping horses usually stop before the obstacle, causing the rider to sometimes fly off. I`ve seen competitions where the horse just stops and refuses to move. But this is crazy, that horse probably never jumped before, or is severely pissed.

That horse did that deliberately!

Notice how the horse bends low to the ground in order to fling the rider with greater momentum! Catapult effect. See the footage again and you`ll see.

I guess that could happen if you don`t let a horse out for exercise, hoping that a boxed in stall horse would have energy.

Lesson: Know your self and your horse!
