Most hotels I have stayed at have at least basic cable, matter of fact all hotels I can remember staying at had at least basic cable.

Well...if it was a resort, chances are I`d be in my room for no more than a few hours a day, and sometimes those ads can be intruiging. Something about those things...

Most hotels offer free wifi you just have to get the login info at the desk sometimes. Also if your bringing a laptop you should invest in downloading some emulators to avoid bringing multiple consoles, games, ect on trips. Another good tip for you would be to buy a portable gaming system like gameboy, or DS...this is exactly why people buy those things. Or you can just enjoy your vacation and stay away from the daily grind of mass produced media.

Yeah.
The Resort I stay in at S. Lake Tahoe, always had a Lcd with nice plug in options!

I even hooked up my Laptop to it, and played a RPG online with their Ethernet.
Nice resolution too!
