I was waiting for the famous quote by Pastor Martin niemoller to come up. Still an excellent speech very moving. For those who don`t know the quote I speak of its as follows.

"In Germany, they came first for the Communists, And I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a Communist;

And then they came for the trade unionists, And I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a trade unionist;

And then they came for the Jews, And I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a Jew;

And then . . . they came for me . . . And by that time there was no one left to speak up."
Point is if the american people don`t speak up for the rights they have then it may be too late when it finnaly does affect you. Good thing im Canadian >.<

This makes me want to tear my spinal cord out. I don`t even know what to think about all this. I`m not quite sure how much of the information at the end is true, but I know that at some point in time it just might be. Imagine how pristine the world would be without people and their governments.

Americans didn`t rise simply because of two reasons:
1-The media didn`t make a fuss out of it
2-Fear of terrorism (thanks to the media)

I`ve been saying since 2005 that the US is in a pre-Fascist state but nobody believes me or cares enough to listen.

At least the system works though - Bush was prevented from running a third time for presidency. At least he didn`t have the balls to disregard that part of the US Constitution.

^you`re an idiot, if you even listened to what was said in the video Mellisa refused to pay taxes in a method of protest, the speech was to demonstrate it was her only legitimate way to protest.

I`ve never seen boston legal but at least i have the brains to put that together

I agree with the main point of the video, which is that we should be aware of when our rights and liberties are being trampled, and step up and say something. But I don`t think that some of the `facts` at the end were correct. Americans cannot be held indefinitely without a trial. I assume the video is talking about the detainees at Guantanamo, but those people are not Americans. I don`t agree that they should be held indefinitely either, but it certainly does not mean an American can be held indefinitely.
