Innovative Bicycle Security System

Designer Grant Howarth has popped up with an innovative design called ‘Bicycle Security’ that not just provides a proper parking place for your bikes but keeps them safe from burglars and other roadside damages as well. It can be used as a billboard for displaying commercial advertisements.

I guess these would be useful in European and Asian countries where bicycles are a more common means of transportation than cars.

At first I thought those were giant teeth ready to chomp down on potential thieves.
There is no less than 500 bicycles parked at my local train station everyday. The last contraption takes up the space of 20 bicycles!
No, this would not be suitable for European or Asian countries, but countries where 1% ride bikes because the rest are too fat and lazy, its perfect!

Looks expensive, I agree with fish and rice, would be suitable for countries where they barely use bikes.

How does it stop people from stealing your bike? Do they all have a seperate key on them or something that you walk of with or does it have a timer? Either one of those is rather wrong...

Sure, it`ll stop people stealing it. It won`t stop fuckers from slashing your ties, puncturing the seat, nor kicking the wheel frames. And there`s a lot more of those fuckers out there than thieves.

Nah not in Asian countries. There`s too many bikes and people don`t bother chaining them up, they just leave them anywhere they can.
