Tyranids adapt their genetic makeup rapidly, to counter any problems they may have via the "Hive Mind". Tyranid organisms are an entire ecology of there own, tyranid plants, tyranid worms, tyranid bacteria.

They eat every last biological molecule on a planet, siphoning it all up capillary towers to the Hive Fleet, leave the planet a barren rock and then move on to the next.

They are "the great devourer" and one of the very few things in 40k that come from outside our own galaxy.

That being said, this will hold me off until Starcraft 2 gets here when im somewhere in my late 40s

Hey fanboys, he was referring to the starship troopers book, not the movie durrr.

As much as you`d like to deny it, warhammer and starcraft were both based off starship troopers.

Vote me down, but this has been established already.

The Protoss in Starcraft are modeled after the Elder, not the Tau. Tau are a newish race to the 40k game, released after Starcraft.

Agree with the others though, this and Empire: Total War will hold me till Starcraft 2 is released, whenever that will be.
