imagine `silent` night clubs
or some really cool effects on the dancefloor (electronic music mostly)
like having a fan with those panels on each fin, each panel with a unique sound which is spinning slowly creating a mixture of sounds and textures.
i would love to produce something like that where each panel is a sound in a mix (producer talk). I wonder what it would take in cubase to mix it in that fashion. lots of testing involved i guess!

i would laugh so hard if i actually end up doing that and making my career as a dance music producer based on that.
id be known as the rotating music guy LOL.

This talk is from 2004, so how come we`ve never heard of this? Seriously, this is one of the most brilliant inventions ever and this TED talk, posted in 2009, is the only recording I`ve seen of it on the internet.

I wonder if it`s propagate at a certain distance away from a speaker? creating a sort of ventriloquism effect?, that way you could hide the speakers and sound would seem to come from a location of empty space.... Combine that with current ideas for 3 dimensional hologrammic video... make it appear that the sounds is coming from a hologram`s mouth...
