ya i always thought it wad odd that people are sooo quick to jump on the whole "he`s a asshole i`ll never watch any of his movies etc."

i was always of the mind that we only had 30% of the story and can`t really make any good remarks w/ that info.

He`s known for staying in character and all that jazz but since he went off on the guy, his accent was going back in and forth between John Connor and crazy bouts of English accents.

+ Bale himself has an awfully muddled accent when he`s speaking IRL.

even though he has gotten bad press, who hasn`t. he is still an amazing actor since newsies.. i believe was his first movie to now. I for one will still continue to be a fan of his work.

I just found out about this, and listned to the audio[of him on set]. Problem is he handled the situation like a MAN, and not a little Pussy. He say`s the DP had repeatidly done this, by which the DP has NO response. So, I`m assuming here Bale asked him more than once not to interupt the scene, but continued anyway`s. So, you can handle this one of two way`s, either, (A) Be a Pussy, and talk behind the DP`s back and cut him down to the other staff. Then go whine like a little bitch to the Director to have him fired, in private. Or (B) Loose it on the guy, tell him what`s what, and look for a response. If the DP was in fact in the right, and had any balls he would have come back on Bale even harder then Bale had on him. But he didn`t, so that tell`s me either he`s a little bitch, or else, more likely he was in fact fucking up Bale`s scene. Bale handled the situation correctly, it`s just people today are so used to Backstabbing, and Talking behind other`s back`s, his outrage or outburst seem`s shocking to all the little pussies[Majority of the Population] listning. tell it like it is.A man stand`s his ground just like Bale did, it`s just too bad he felt the need to appologize, he has nothing to be ashamed of.

^^^Zodd_25, it happens all the time in sport`s. The coach shouts and screams at the players all the time, expecially in the pro-leagues. Some times the only way to get through to someone is to raise your voice, and drill it home. That is what makes a great coach, to be direct and sincere, and that`s what makes a winning team. If you listned to the audio, you see Bale`s fustration at the Director as well, when he asks what are you doing about it. The Director shrug`s it off and say`s he didn`t see anything, most likely a cop out. Bale was fustrated and took the role the Director should have, and felt the need to get the, "PROFESSIONALISM", out of the DP, and Director. He makes` great movies because he cares, and he`s not their for a paycheck, and ask`s that everyone give their best, and when he feels their not, I think he had to lay down the law. This should have been the Director, and not Bale saying this, but Bale had to take it upon himself to set thing`s straight. It sound`s like he did it early on while making the movie, and this outburst, may have made what could be a shitty movie into a Great Movie. Time will tell, but if it`s kick ass, you should be thanking Bale, and not criticizing him...

Also, he`s an actor, nobody gives a shit if he`s a douche or not, what matter is that he does his job. I don`t care if they routinely go for drive-by shootings, if they can manage to pull-off an oscar winning performance they`re ok in my book.
What is it with people and movie stars? It`s just a job for them so why wouldn`t it be just a job for the audience? Does it really matter they`re nice in person? Do you care that your mechanic is a racist even though he charges you half the price for a terrific job?
Most actors are so full of themselves they start looking down on people. I don`t really get why this fit he had was such a shock to people.
