Its called a Mimosa. Where i am from as in Jaffna,Eelam and Singapore, this is a plant people hate due to it being extremely hard to get rid of(it keeps on growing back) and it being thorny. Very common plant in South East Asia.

Lots of these in the woods near the village in China where I came from. It`s called Han Xiu Cao (pronounced: Han Siu Chow) in Mandarin. It means something like "grass that closes due to shyness"

Heh... these grow on my (and almost everyone`s) lawn. They are VERY common here in Panama. We don`t hate it... it is just something that grows around. The little thorns are annoying though...

erm i played with those since i was a kid. it`s from tropical countries, and fyi they haf TONS of spikes.. i knew that when i fell on a whole field of them from my bicycle.....

u can find this all around Asia, it growing wild, however red ants love to live close to it because it provides protection plus is very spiky. In malay is called Semula Jadi.

Some weeds lay down when you mow the lawn to escape the mower blades, I thought I just had a blunt lawnmower until David Rabbitburrow taught me that.

They are also known as "touch me nots" very common in south east Asia. It bugged me initially when i saw it. As fluid as it looks, its pretty apparent the pant is doing it as a defence mechanism against grazing animals
