It`s interesting that the german defences where either hitler youth or waffen SS. and were on the normandy coast they were posted. anybody know more?

If I remember right, Hitler had a few Panzer divisions on standby only a couple dozen miles from the beach morning of the invasion. He didn`t do anything cause he was asleep, and no one wanted to wake him.

I thought there was "leaked" intelligence on the allies side talking about a landing a 100 miles north, but they only sent 1 boat as a feign mission to lead the enemies away. Then landed on Normandy.... I could have my history wrong though, I am American.

Of course, you remember WWII and everyone just fucking loves us, but you take it 60+ years later(67 if my history is right) and how many BILLIONS of dollars we have spent on helping other countries and all we get is "Fuck Americans".
