this situation certainly is the extreme of a general trend throughout the Western world i would say in terms of Xenophobia. I lived in Germany for 2 years and can vouch that many people had reservations and hate towards the large Turkish minority there. Sure they did not beat people up in the streets but certainly there was tension.

Same thing you could argue with the Mexicans in America.

^^Wait l33terpan mexicans, people from the caucasus are ok, but it is quite bothering when muslims protest in massive rallies because of a little cartoon of mohammed but dont protest when people from their religion slaughter innocent people for not being one of them. A good worm doesnt kill its host; it adapts to it, gets accustomed to that enviroment but it sure as hell doesnt force its host to do what it wants it to do. Thats the underline problem with some muslims, especially for those who are themselves intolerant of customs in U.S.A and E.U. Mexicans and people from the caucus quickly adapt to their enviroment, i mean look you dont see 20 thousand mexicans protesting on the streets when som1 makes jokes about juan or tacitos. With muslims though you cant even make a film about their religion without getting stabbed. Thats the difference between good migrants and just plain butholes like turks, oh and incase if you dont know Turkey has become an ultra-nationalist,religious, country so dont lecture the west on hate and reservations. A) turkey is starting to deny christians entrance into churches, B) its closing any restaurants or delis that dont adhere to strict muslims laws on food. So dude if people in germany look bad at you, its because theyre informed about the type of country you come from. Let the hispanics and jews and blacks and asians come, im for immigration .

Chrisalexan^^ i understand where youre coming from. We are extremely tolerant of most ideals and peoples. When certain immigrant groups take advantage of that tolerance and try to subvert the system in order to place their values on a higher pedestal. They take the "holier than thou" attitude. Yes i agree with you totally in that regard. I was never a big fan of the Turks, believe me.. they cant take criticism but can dish it out tenfold. They should not be allowed into the EU anytime soon..

^^ No Russia has a big immigration since their economy is currently exploding. Seriously, Russia has the fastest growing economy in the world right now, and they need more jobs and fast. So, immigration is there. And I think it`s a normal process for a country that never had immigration before to be such extreme. When the USA started having black people, you know what happened. It took 50 to 70 years or so for the USA to stop being racist toward them. Russia has been opening his doors for immigration since the USSR. I think it is a normal process since they are not used to see immigrants. Is it ok? FFS no! Is there something to stop them? Yes, time...

Im personally not a racists, but i do see where the russian people are coming from. If you were 18 years old and cant find work, thats being occupied by foreigners, of course youd be pissed off. I was in Germany over the summer and I noticed a big minority of Turkish, dont know how their dealing with that.

As For here in the states, i only have one thing that makes me mad. When an immigrant does not speak English or even attempt to learn thats when i see a problem. I mean you dont even have to speak english to pass your Permit test or driving test..... If you come to our country be able to speak the laungage please..or at least put some effort into it.
