well... how would you qualify those extraterrestrial crafts then? last I recall they can fly mach 20 and pull off moves unlike any aircraft we built.

Ah the game does look promising. Jet games are usually really fun, even the hard to learn simulator types because its so rewarding to shoot down an enemy, but this game seems more arcade based, but with enough realism to keep it on the realistic level.

Something about flying a raptor into a tight back flip at such a high velocity that would easily cause it to explode just doesn`t appeal to me.

The black box would reveal radio chatter kind of like this...

"Ok, let`s see what this baby can do!................ugh..... MY PRECIOUS ORGANS!!!*static*"

^ agreed, mach 20! lol not even close try M 2.25 with a human pilot as it`s limitations. But no Aircraft will survive Hypersonic flight (mach 5 and over).

^^The fastest airplane in the world travels at Mach 9.6. The shuttle achieves speeds greater than Mach 22 to break orbit. Granted you`re not trying to dogfight in that airplane or in the shuttle, but it`s possible for airplanes

Well the fact of the matter is that this game is not really an appeal to flight sim fans. They are advertising this like some type of sim but it`s not real enough, oh yeah and for all those non believers that these aeroplanes can`t do whats in the video then http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=8mbt0IT0Ku8 This kind of defeats my argument lol but they wouldn`t do thrust vectoring maneuvers that close to the ground unless yes, the whole, "MY ORGANS!"

^^^X models are prototypes are are not usable fighters so well see their top speed once they have their F status.
