You can do that at home : take wire and make a tight coil, plug a battery at the ends and put small piece of metal inside.

^^No you can`t vinz. It is not a "railgun". It still uses a propellant charge. The propellant charges are just stacked behind each projectile and ignited electrically.

This technology is about 5 years or 6 years old now, it was first invented by a few guys on the Gold Coast, Australia.
Go to www.metalstorm.com and check their other vids.
The area denial system is quite impressive

finaly, some prototypes. first i saw the technology in 1998`th enceclopedy of technology, printed in Russia.
good tech, but slightest damage to the baralel will render it useless as the one projectile will block the way of upcoming and the propability of internal explosion is high.

P.s. i see, now terrorists are riding T-72U tanks, othervise it`s unclear who to use this weapon against 8)
