I actually had this scam pulled at my work. Luckily, my boss spotted it immediately and kicked the guy out and then told us it was a scam. Although I had wondered why the guy came in our office when we work right next to a restaurant. Probably not the smartest place to pull a scam.

I personally saw almost the same scam happen in my neighborhood and when I looked it up it was known as "the white van scam" and the guy was selling speakers. You actually would get speakers, but they weren`t high-end like he claimed.
