He missed a lot of those arrows if you look closely.
And the überproleetplayers do memorize these songs. Once you play it through a couple of times it starts to stay in your muscle memory (aka Proprioception)
After you've mastered it, you don't even need to look at the screen.

And I'd like to see him do that without leaning to the table or whatnot. It really gets on your calf muscles.
