Aliens: Deleted Scene

I watched Aliens (Alien 2, 1986) about 20 times before i saw a version with this added deleted scene. In this scene you see the family of the little girl Newt that was the sole survivor on the alien planet.

I can see why this scene was cut, finding newt alone on the ship was sort of a mystery for the marines & I think its best when the audience is on the same page as the protagonists...

through the entire movie you are following the marines & this breaks into it and makes the planet seem less desolate.

The directors cut of this movie is awsome you also find out Rippley had a 12 year old little girl who died of old age during her hper sleep. It kind of shows why rippley had such a hard on for newt.

Agreed. I have a VHS version with this scene actually in the movie. It happens right after the conference board discussion where the executive tells Ripley they have colony there.

Not only is the pacing of this scene different from the rest of the movie, it takes away a lot of the impact that first scene when the marines land has since everything looks so spooky and unfamiliar. This scene kinda gives away the look of the colony too early.

Ringpiece, that wasn`t a deleted scene. I saw that scene when I was a little kid.

Correction, there were no survivors of that planet as the girl and everyone else other than Ripley died prior to the disaster known as alien 3.
