Nothing is wrong with the sign, I think the *funny* part is, that the retailer had to actually write out the price (result) after applying 50% to their old prices - because, most of the people that actually shop there wouldn`t know how to do it themselves.

honestly without the sign i would ask 2 as a customer.
not because i cant figure out how much 50% is - its more that i feel i´ve been tricked. normally they have a big sign that says "50 percent off" or "low prices" or shit like that - and when you are ready to pay the come up with some weird ass rules - oh only on mondays - that sign excludes all red items blablabla
you can never bee sure nowadays - they allways try to bend you over.
thats the main reason why some people ask.

however most people might be plain stupid.
