It seems like if an alien species had managed to travel galaxies, they`d be able to develop a spacecraft without huge noticeable lights.

^True, I`m not trying to justify all claims, but, if it were capable of intergalactic and noiseless flight, those lights might be some sort of propulsion or guidance system of sorts. Makes sense since bright lights and noiselessness seem to be noted in the majority of UFO sightings.

All right, Beatrice, there was no alien. The flash of light you saw in the sky was not a UFO. Swamp gas from a weather balloon was trapped in a thermal pocket and reflected the light from Venus.
