Any kind of radiant light makes your brain produce low alpha wave patters, not just the TV, it doesn`t have anything to do with lines on the screen that the human eye can`t detect nor is it even possible to design a light emitting display without causing this to happen, the same problem is even found in cinema screens. This whole thing is why any kind of dim lighting is soothing. It`s a kind of optical influence trick thingy on the brain. Works very much the same way as those psychedelic pictures and videos makes you all wonky in the head after a while as it`s producing loads theta waves which basically over loads your senses.

What basically what it adds up to is; If you read a statement of a radiant display, you`re more prone to accepting that information as truth. As the room gets darker is effect grows in power.

It doesn`t matter what kind of screen your looking at either. A TV is just as good as the GPS in your car or computer display as long as your focusing on them. This is most likely why the internet is a great way for people to share otherwise totally insane theories and why "I read it on the internet" is a convincing argument for the person that tries to convince someone but not for someone that is being convinced
by someone.

Of course there are some mental barriers which rejects information if it conflicts with your current world view, so people won`t accept anything. The more you devote yourself to a subject the less likely are you to change your opinion on that subject. The most graphic examples of this is found in conspiracy nutters, political idealists and super religious/non-religious people. If you even try to present evidence which proves either of these people wrong, they simply start yelling, making excuses about how it`s angled information or something like that. Also these people tend to accept information right away as true as long as it fits their world view.

^Yes, his ideas are all hypotheses. However the information and sources he has on Alpha waves(the stuff we were talking about) are not that bad. Also BS means Bachelor of Science in case anyone wonders.

hey are thought to represent the activity of the visual cortex in an idle state. Occipital alpha waves during periods of eyes closed are the strongest brain signals of the EEG. They usually can be detected with the naked eye.

this is taking facts and perverting them. Please don`t post videos that mislead teh community
