^^ It doesn`t need the sensor bar for motions like that, only for pointing.

I`m calling BS on this video. They never explain how any of these hacks work besides just simply plugging it in, and there could`ve easily been someone with a remote off to the side.

I`m not saying it`s not possible, there`s just a lot missing here.

the wii mote works just like the crash bandacoot game on the iphone. when you tilt it forward it goes forward when you tilt it back it goes back left and right ect.

This is totally possible. The wiimote and all the wii controllers use bluetooth. The sensor bar is only used for pointing games, where the wii needs to know the position of the wiimote. Thats why you dont need the sensor bar for games like guitar hero. They state at the beginning they are using an arduino board hooked up to their computer. All they did was link their controllers to their computers via bluetooth, then used the arduino boards Radio output on the same channel as the car to control it. Theyre not controlling the car directly, theyre going through their computer.

TED.com has a really good video of awesome wiimote uses through linking up the remote to your computer
