gah... that sucks... CN Rail spilled oil by my cabin once and it killed a lot of ducks in the area... shitty thing was that we had to clean our beach and rocks but CN didnt get in shit or have to pay for the cleaning. fucking corporations.

We really shouldn`t need to have any dependence on this shit. There`s just no way around greed and corruption that will allow for a change. It`s going to take a clean slate. How that clean slate will come about is beyond me...

Either
A) this is an old event from many years ago
B) You are ignorant to your immediate surroundings(c`mon, 500 million gallons)
C) TVA paid someone shit-loads of cash to keep it under wraps

I am an informed citizen IN MIDDLE TENNESSEE AND I STILL HAD NO IDEA ABOUT THIS!? it happened 4 days ago. NUMBER ONE REKON YOU WANKBAG, its 500 cubic yards, not gallons.

Secondly jerkbag, if i wasted my time watching the local news i probably STILL wouldnt know about it, im sure the tva is keeping it out of the press as much as possible.

This is going to make them look like even bigger pieces of shit than they already are, if that is even possible.

The original report was 1.7 M cubic yards, which is 343 M gallons. The most recent report estimate puts it at about 5.4 M cubic yards, which is 1 B (that B as in buh buh buh billion) gallons!

Consumer`s Energy is planning to build a new "clean coal" plant in a neighboring town to me. Even though there have been several bids from people/businesses to build wind farms on our bay, and solar farms on some of our infertile farm lands and empty lots.

Mind you, the farm plots and land lots are infertile because of the first coal plant at the mouth of our river.

I live on the great lakes, on the edge of the saginaw bay in mid-michigan. It is by far the filthiest water in any surrounding area. Any surrounding area within a few hundred miles.....
