that means that every time the the "choice" mechanic is invoked you can make a `good` or `bad` descision. whoopie! sounds revolutionary.

the thing that really hurts these guys is the absolutely despicable in game footage they decide to show. every bit of in-game combat is two people standing toe to toe exchanging blows. how boring! conversely if you go look at some world of warcraft in game footage, there is a lot going on. im not saying one is better then the other but people, try to make your videos compelling at least.

I loved KotoR I and II.. but I am not sure ill like this one too much... for one thing its an MMO which means you will have to pay to play like WoW... which blows ass but its understandable considering the servers and maintenance and all that. Not too big of an issue. My problem with it is that its an MMO like WoW. I got so fucking bored with WoW that after a while i just sat it on the shelf. Granted lots of people still love WoW and there are new expansions coming out all the time, which is a huge bonus. Will this game have expansions? Will it take them 5+ years to make them? The only major selling point i see is that it is starwars and you can choose to be jedi or sith. and the graphics look bad ass. Ill wait to see more details before i get my hopes up.

Praetorian, you do realize in the time of the game that the Jedi and Sith were all over the place. This is not set in the time after the clone wars. How about reading about the game first before making stupid comments.

Its not a stupid comment, I finished the first two KOTOR like most people years ago. I`m very much aware of the lore, it just seems to lack diversity.

What I dont like about most of theses sorts of games is the fact that no matter what the size of you opponent is (when in melee combat) your always got the same generic sit in one spot and attack, get attacked, movements.
It would be great for a game like this to actually make you work real hard to take down a creature 3 or 5 times your size instead of just sitting there grinding away at the beasty/robot/thing.

The ultimate Star Wars game? I believe that was Star Wars Galaxies before everyone and their mom could be a Jedi.

Bad move on Bioware`s behalf if you ask me, especially when thousands of fans wanted to know what happened to Revan.

Honestly, I`m kinda disappointed that they`re taking this series into the MMO realm, because what made the 1st two Knights of the Old Republic so awesome was the immersively vast and rich story, full of elaborate conversations and variable scenarios, depending on what you did and who you brought along. In an MMO it`s really hard to get into the story when you`re farming the deaths of important characters over and over for loot and doing an uncountable number of forgettable, unoriginal quests that are there just to keep you playing. The story built up in Warcraft 3 I felt lost all impact and interest when it had to assimiliate into MMO form for WoW. I understand, though, that PC games really do have a huge incentive to be online based to reap in a profit, as opposed to risking huge pirating for a single-player game that needs no online verification.

^EA owns Bioware. One of the best single player shooters of the year, Dead Space was developed by EA Redwood Shores and published by EA. They are improving.
Edit: To reiterate for the lamers: Bioware is a private subsidiary of EA, that is not to say they are a better overall developer. Most of you are clueless though so I guess I just made the edit to make myself feel better.

^ EA is improving in some areas but still sucks balls with their sports games. I can`t wait for this game but I wish they would have continued the KotOR series. Dark horse has this KotOR comic going on and I`m hoping they cover what happens to Revan after they finish the arc they`re on.
