Britain to Watch ‘Assisted Suicide’ on T...

A documentary screened on Sky Real Lives Wednesday night showed motor neuron disease sufferer Craig Ewert taking a lethal dose of drugs at the Dignitas clinic in Switzerland.
Mary Ewert told Sky News her husband was not tired of living - but faced a choice between death and suffering, or death.

a natural death is nothing to fear... Unless it`s being torn apart by wild dogs!

Waitaminute... wouldn`t he much better rather to be pumped up with awesome drugs then take the poison rather than listening to a sad song?

I`m definitely not for it, but I definitely support your choice to do it.

But....what about Stephen Hawking, he has a preeeeeeettttttttyyyyyyyy bad case of something that seems worse than this, and he`s just having a great time.

If you have freewill to decide how you live, then shouldn`t the same rights be carried over for your choice to die.

These people have a choice, either die outside of your control, or die under your control. You can either die suffering and bringing potentially years of pain to your carers (relatives), or die with dignity.

I 100% support this. It isn`t an easy choice to make for the sufferer and a lot of thought is put into it. For people to criticise this is wrong, as the critics are the people not suffering themselves.

In ancient times a warrior would kill himself by impaling himself on his sword or he would have his best friend behead him. I believe they had it right. They didn`t mince reality and morals; they did what they felt.

only a choice and situation you can make if faced with it so not really something we should think about. i think it should be totally legal, but heavily controlled by an impartial medium

"This man need not go through this" - No, he would have to go through a lot worst and so would everyone close to him. Fat useless cunt should take up religion, they too like a throttling control over others.

why would you want to live in suffering? and let your loved ones suffer as well? I think anyone has a right to terminate their own life if there is no hope for happiness or a normal future.

yah. took a class on this. it`s actually legal in the state of Oregon, USA. Of course there are requirements that one needs to go through:

Q: Who can participate in the Act?
A: The law states that, in order to participate, a patient must be: 1) 18 years of age
or older, 2) a resident of Oregon, 3) capable of making and communicating health
care decisions for him/herself, and 4) diagnosed with a terminal illness that will
lead to death within six (6) months. It is up to the attending physician to determine
whether these criteria have been met.

^ Jesus might not forgive sinners, but he sure does give people some fucked up diseases.

He he would rather die than suffer, let him do it. I`d want the same if it were me.
