Crowds of rail fans gathered at Hakata station to witness the last regular run of a 0 series Shinkansen. The zero series was the first type of train to run along the high speed Tokkaido Shinkansen Line when it opened in 1964, and it is by far the most recognizable of the Japanese bullet trains.
