you broke the record using US technology. Your crappy canadian ammo couldnt even reach that far.

I think DeathMarine`s point is that since it was US technology anyone could do it; that there was nothing special about the circumstances or the soldier in the video.

That`s why the previous record from the Vietnam war stood so long, because it`s all about the technology.

^ its not all about the technology, like he said its trial and error, personal experience and training, the biggest reason I think was the altitude the shot was taken from, but I don`t care how you stack it, its a nice shot.

The more interesting thing about this story(saw this a long time ago) was how the attention killed his career, thanks to military politics.

well u.s uses swedish scopes on some of there rifles.. and probably technology from many other contries. It´s not about the gear it´s about the skill using it!

@ Deathmarine:

Assault rifle implementation as we know it today was largely inspired by the German Sturmgewehr. So does that mean all U.S. battlefield victory using the M16 family is invalidated?

If you actually are a Marine, or Former Marine, check your head, Devil Dog. You sound more like a kid who plays a lot of Halo.
