this is a great film. But it seems like the message is let every one die because we can`t afford them. Medicare Medicaid and SS all involve choosing whether people get medical care or the money for a house payment at 80. So the real question is Since we can`t afford them Do we choose to save their life or be burdened by debt to our death?

This pisses me off so much. There are elected government officials and huge government departments who`s sole job is to protect us from this shit. They get paid very generous salaries considering their important duty of making sure we citizens are safe from this.

Now look at us. We are fucked. What happened? It`s not like this came out of nowhere. True, a lot of the blame could be put on us citizens for wanting lower taxes, not having more interest in the federal debt, and the home foreclosures going on but it is their job to know more than the average citizen and it is their responsibility to resolve the problem. Otherwise we are paying them just to do research and make statistics that can be brought up when it is too late to do anything.

I`m not believing this video 100% because I`m sure someone here will come along and point out a bunch of discrepancies or exaggerations. Even if half the things talked about in the video are true, we are all in for one hell of a bumpy ride.

Well, what can we do? We could:
- End the war in Iraq. 3% of GDP is nice chunk of change
- Cut military spending. We spend too much on military research, then we go to war and spend even more?
- Cut space exploration programs (NASA). Currently, we`re paying the Russians a ton of money to deliver shit to the International Space Station.
- Raise taxes 1-2% (not the end of the world like raising them 20% overnight as the video said we`d have to)
- Sell/use our own natural resources, instead of buying. We got a lot of undeveloped oil and other stuff. Of course, the ecology would get fucked in some places, but at least we would still have a government and a healthier trade balance.
- Introduce government regulation of health-care costs. It`s fucking crazy how much we`re being charged by doctors and hospitals and medications. The whole crisis we`re having with the Medicare and Medicaid programs is as much because of the rising health care costs as because of baby-boomers.

- We could keep doing things the Bush way and invade some more countries. China could be next. Make them write off our national debt. Who was next on the list after that?

Yoshi, Mexico is much worse since central & south Americans moved there and they place no value on human life whatsoever. They are ruthlessly robbing and killing people for land and food. Mexico isn`t and should NEVER be an option.

Flynn_2006, Canada is just a military threat & a "Cowboy" Republican president away from being the 51st state. News flash: NO country would give a fuck.

We desperately need to legalize Weed, for clothing, food, fuel, textiles, household products, plastics, health supplements, and of course, getting blitzoid to forget we are fucked.

Also it will stimulate our economy since stoners buy shit they don`t need, and eat out alot. A huge plus is that there will be less douche-bags and more mellow folk, and less people will be on the road when Simpsons is on.

Plus less people in prisons, therefore saving more money housing them, AND not risking having them become more violent and NOT giving them the chance to upgrade their criminal behavior and intent by learning new trades.

It`s NOT an answer, but it couldn`t hurt.
