Ignore the image... this really isn't a SpikedHumor update.
Apparently SpikedHumor had been down and everyone's early day uploads and comments have been erased. Including my 50+ image spam which makes me sad... but I'm super glad I didn't clear out my Recycling Bin.
Also, all the content that was edited and promoted to the Front Page earlier in the day has been reversed back to the Recently Upload Section.
Obviously this has messed with the XP system too so... click away at anything you remember viewing and make sure to gather whatever you can, lol.
It's like a weird rewind and we're in the Spikedhumor Past :(
I'm not ENTIRELY sure if the developers can bring back "site memory" or any of that. Maybe when I wake up tomorrow and check the site, everything will be restored. I don't know.
So until we get some sort of answer or actual update, I wanted to apologize to ya'll for this huge inconvenience.
Devs Send Update!
The Spikedhumor database server experienced a raid controller failure which corrupted the database and killed the server at approximately 5:30 pm pst yesterday. I restored from an offsite backup time stamped around 15 hours earlier on a temporary database server. The downtime was about 2 hours.
We expect to have the old database back up and running with a new controller card either today or tomorrow.
