^ its a clip from a tv show... basically the whole point of the "stage production" is to get the waitress to marry charlie. It`s an ongoing joke.

If you don`t watch the show then there is a bunch of jokes you missed. For one the main female and male in the play are brother and sister. So that is why they looked weirded out after the first song. Second, Charlie has been stalking the waitress since season one. He made a deal with her earlier in the episode that if she saw his play he`d never bother her again. Then there is the song Dayman. It`s a reference to an episode in season three I believe. This is a great show, although this season in my opinion wasn`t as good as previous seasons, it was still funny. This being one of the best episodes of the season. no really, listen.
When the parody of utter lameness is pushed so far...it can becomes the object of its own parody.
What this mean is that you could go into a utterly lame panto show exactly like this and think its very entertaining.
But its not is it.
