We got the same storm down here on the Gold Coast, but it wasn`t that powerful or that frequent. Still, I have to say it was the most intense storm for a few years lightning wise (we escaped any wind / rain damage, thankfully).

^^^ No WhiteNoise20 that is not normal. It was a tame part of the tail end of the second worst storm Brisbane has ever seen. The army was out the next day with the state emergency service cleaning up and handing out water, blankets and other necessities to the people who had their homes destroyed or lost access to water, like when Bush helped the people of New Orleans, oh wait.......
