he sorta half brought up an interesting point there, kinda chicken or the egg; is the caller`s inability to really think about the issue a result of religious indoctrination, or was that inability present from birth what allowed him to be indoctrinated?

^^I would have to say the biggest factor is religious indoctrination. Why do you think Mormons have so many children?? Because it`s the only way they can get new members, those poor, poor children.

^ Actually both. I don`t know why you vote him down.

We are born with an obvious inability to comprehend and rationalize most things that are told to us, and we have to believe most of those things in order to survive. At first it`s hard to distinguish what are those things that actually make sense, specially about those things that are rigurously indoctrinated into our thoughts, but eventually our brain works naturally and starts connecting the dots... still some resist that and end up all fucked up.

When the brain needs to take a dump, let it be man.

To enslave all mankind with the utopic ideal of free thinking. /sarcasm

Yeh. I`m becoming a fan myself.
You know where those guys wouldn`t be able to make money/air time with this apparently great show? Anywhere else than the US... It`s still beyond me to understand how people are able to discuss such trivial things as belief/religion in the complexity of the debate going on in your country.

I mean, it`s interesting, I believe it`s important.
But how the hell can this be such a big deal?

^^Wait, you were at one time an atheist and then became a Mormon?? I`m having trouble believing you. Can you please explain your beliefs on the resurrection of Jesus in North America. How about the colonization of the moon?? What about the:

"Mormon theology that teaches that Cain and his descendants were placed under a curse, namely, black skin, a curse that prevented almost all of Cain`s descendants from being allowed entry into the Mormon priesthood. Not until 1978,in a declaration entitled "Official Declaration 2", did the Mormon church finally relent, and allowed blacks into their priesthood.

Mormons believe the Cainites survived the Flood because Noah`s son Ham married a Cainite (allegedly). Those who are descended for this couple are Cainites and are under the "curse" of black skin, according to Mormon theology. This doctrine has been the basis of the racist exclusion of blacks from the Mormon priesthood until as late as 1978."

If by "hope" you mean that you hope that I will in the future believe any of the above beliefs then, good Sir, there really is no hope for me, AT ALL.
