Hmm. She is smart and sexy(Yay!), but she dropped a few points. Global warming is bullshit, because climate change is most likely controlled by the sun. CO2 isn`t even the major greenhouse gas, and even if it was, humans contribute to less than 10% of it. Crude oil dependency sucks, but don`t let politicians sucker you into paying taxes for a gas you`re exhaling right now.

sato: The moon has no atmosphere... kinda irrelevant, but whatever. Look up what I said about greenhouse gases, water is a much greater greenhouse gas than CO2, and we only contribute a small fraction of the atmospheric CO2. I don`t remember the exact number, but its always quoted at less than 10%.

CO2 currently correlates well with temperature because both happen to be increasing. There are inconsistencies, like the temperature dip during the post war economic boom after WWII. Solar activity also correlates well with climate(I wonder why :o), I think that fluctuations in the heat source itself are more likely to affect climate than the insulating gases. Look it up yourself, just don`t listen when retards tell you "there is no longer a debate".

The idea that we aren`t that big of a contributer to green house effects meaning that we should go on fucking the place up is retarded. Indeed, the planet is a big place and there are many things contributing to the rise of the temperature, but that doesn`t mean we should exasperate the situation. The vote is out in teh scientific community on the global warming issue, so to say that we aren`t having an affect on the problem is a fallacy. We may or may not be adding to the problem. But on the chance that we are, we should wise the fuck up and move away from oil.

Oh, and Cutey Mc`Cleavage was pretty bang on.

The vote is out? Science should never be dumbed down into those kind of arguments. It operates through reason and evidence, it is not a popularity contest. Politicians would have you believe that every scientist thinks the same way on the issue, but there is a lot more argument and confusion than the opinionated weatherman would have you believe.

Move away from oil, definitely. But CO2 isn`t a pollutant. If you think that CO2 is "killing the planet", then you literally need to stop breathing. Now. Arguing about the environment isn`t about "fucking the place up", its about knowing as much as we can before we give in to the scare tactics and inevitable but ineffective taxes. Renewable, clean energy sources are the long term goal, but there`s gonna be some waiting. Sit tight and don`t let the fear mongers manipulate you.

I think the bigger problem here is not a belief in God or lack thereof, but religion and it`s controlling aspects. Yes, I agree with her on many of the controlling aspects that hold us back, however, that does not automatically mean a person should be an atheist. If you want to be against religion, be against religion. You don`t have to be part of a religion to have a belief in God. ;)
