Erik Eck`s 39-second kitemare in the air. Eric Eck, getting launched (against his will) some 50 metres in the air over Mokuleia Beach Park, Hawaii. Eric was caught in a freak thermal, and was extremely lucky to survive.

I live in Hawaii, and met him. Pretty cool guy. I told Eric my friend made me watch the video before I ever kitesurfed, and he laughed at the notion that he became a lesson.

I`ve been to the beach he was at. The thing that I learned from watching this vid is to get a kite with massive depower capability. I have 2 Naish Cults a 9m and 13.5m. Kitesurfing is fun!
